You are not alone anymore.
Will you carry the name YOGINI STYLE?
YOGINI STYLE Composite License
Really — on your own?
- Do you set your own prices?
- Marketing, admin, bookkeeping — how many hours go to everything that isn’t teaching?
- Your RYT200 — is there anywhere it is actually being used?
- On a day you fall ill, is there anyone to cover for you?
- Is there anyone you can ask?
Really — can you keep going on your own?
The solitary aesthetic of “independence.”
Standing on your own feet. Protecting the name above your door. For a professional in yoga, that has been your pride.
But when the lights go down and the music stops — is there a moment when that independence turns into weight?
You want the class to be better. Yet even choosing music means copyright walls, or settling for whatever royalty-free track you happened to find. Branding, filling classes, the future — all of it carried alone.
We have been watching that back.
What YOGINI instructors are carrying
From 102 published accounts in Japanese and English, we drew out 461 passages describing difficulty, and gathered them into 21 groupings. Every one is a sentence its author put into the open. Quoted as written. Not summarised.
The 21 groupings below come from all 102 accounts. The quotations here are the ones written in English. For six of the groupings, no English-language account was found in this collection.
1. Not knowing what it pays, or what it costs
How is this profession sustainable???
2. Earnings that don’t reach a living
I could’ve made close to $500? But alas I made $60
It pays little, the hours are long, and students can be demanding.
3. Hours that don’t become income
the business of teaching yoga is surprisingly murky
4. When you rest, the income stops
No English-language account found in this collection.
5. Not being seen as a profession
I introduced myself as a yoga teacher and immediately felt ashamed of myself
6. Certified, but nowhere to teach
I did my YTT last year and I am yet to start teaching.
7. Doubts about trainings and certification
If you do not have an established and consistent personal practice in yoga, you should not be considered qualified to teach it.
8. Losing your own practice
No English-language account found in this collection.
9. When the yoga you loved becomes work
This led to serious burnout
10. What you want to teach, and what is wanted
Neither of the students said anything.
11. The body breaks
I cannot in good conscience continue to teach students to move into positions
12. Touching, and being touched
I was in child’s pose today and opened my eyes to see the teacher crouching over my body about to touch me.
13. The nerves before standing in front of a room
No English-language account found in this collection.
14. Comparing yourself
There’s a lot of teachers out there who are taking these beautiful Instagram pictures of themselves
But it’s just not true.
15. Distance from students
they come to my classes, then ask me out
16. Unease with the yoga world itself
yoga is meant to be Spiritual
I feel there is little diversity within the yoga community.
17. Continuing, and stepping away
How do you find space from something when you are still expected to keep doing it or be near it?
On December 8, 2020, I quit teaching yoga.
I taught my last yoga class and shed a piece of what I had considered to be my identity
18. Raising children, postpartum, recovery
No English-language account found in this collection.
19. Age
No English-language account found in this collection.
20. Where you live
No English-language account found in this collection.
21. Isolation, and other teachers
I see a lack of transparency in the yoga world.
Sources: 18 Japanese blogs / 27 Japanese Q&A and forum posts / 20 English-language accounts / 37 Instagram posts (102 total). Dated 2005–2026.
No first-hand accounts in German or French were collected. No account stated 20 or more years of teaching. Whether such accounts do not exist, or simply were not reached by this method, cannot be determined from this collection.
The same 102 accounts also contain passages of achievement, gratitude and fulfilment. This list draws only on the passages describing difficulty.
Not dependence. A brand held in common.
What we propose does not take your freedom. The name above your door stays exactly as it is. YOGINI STYLE is placed alongside it, as a layer.
This is a brand held in common — a way of walking toward the future of Wellness together.
A composite licence. An invitation that supports the way you already work.
You never have to erase your own name. Adding the YOGINI STYLE symbol to your profile or your business card is enough to show that you belong to a group of professionals who share the same intent.
A double name. A composed kind of independence. Keeping what makes you yourself, while adding trust to it.
YOURNAME
with
YOGINI STYLE
Your name stays. We do not erase it. We place ours beside it.
There is a line we do not cross.
You are the business.
YOGINI STYLE does not do things on your behalf. We place a name beside yours, hand over a vocabulary, and leave a set of forms. You are the one who uses them, and what happens between you and your students belongs to you. So we do not direct you either — not what you teach, not the name above your door.
No stock to buy. No sales targets. No reporting obligations. There is nothing you are asked to give up.
“Not how it must be, but how it may be.”
— on the understanding that the root concepts are known.
Three ways to place the marks.
Whether YOGINI STYLE leads, or your own name does — the pattern is yours to choose.

pattern A — the YOGINI STYLE mark leads, your name beside it

pattern B — your logo set into the YOGINI STYLE mark

pattern C — your logo leads, YOGINI STYLE beside it

The figures shown were produced for the current composite licence announcement. The trade name is an example (BAD chickin).
Not a royalty-free track you happened to find. Music written for this.
The sound in your room is your philosophy. Are you compromising it with whatever free track came to hand?
YOGINI STYLE shares almost the entire WELLBEWING catalogue. Not generic stock, but music written from the outset for Wellness — for a single breath, a single movement.
From 174Hz to 963Hz. Built on the nine chakra and Solfeggio frequencies. Usable in the studio, in online classes, on YouTube, on Instagram — without copyright concern.
For YouTube, we support whitelisting on prior application, so that copyright claims do not arise. You will not have to wonder about music again.
Download or stream the current catalogue from a library reserved for licensees. Playlists follow. Every track is there for your class.
This music is not in general distribution at present. Only certified instructors hold it. Fill the room with it.
324 terms behind what you teach.
Why does this posture carry this name? How should it be taught? Meaning, background, guidance for practice, the teacher’s view, related terms — five layers. English, Japanese, German, French. 1,424 pages.
YOGA GLOSSARY, YOGINI STYLE LEXICON. Already published, and freely citable under CC BY 4.0.
325 terms, each with its own address, in a structure that AI and search can follow. At the root: the Sanskrit verbal root yuj — to bind, to connect, to integrate.
No explanation needed.
YOGINI STYLE
Search it.
The only people who search your own name are the people who already know you.
The words that strangers type are different ones.
Even if you have never met, others carry the same flag.
Holding this licence means sharing the trademark and the trust of YOGINI STYLE. The mark is also a sign of connection. However far apart, however unmet, there are others holding the same aesthetic and playing the same music.
From running things alone, to a shared undertaking under a shared name. We are bound by something that cannot be seen.
Value that arrives afterwards.
The WELLBEWING catalogue is, for now, held only among licensees. When the circle has widened, distribution resumes and recognition follows.
At that point it becomes visible: who took up this style and this sound first. Your choice is proved later, as standing. That is the path we have drawn.
There is a review.
A name anyone may carry is worth nothing. We review, so that the name keeps its meaning.
An annual licence.
Renewed each year, so that you continue at your own pace.
For founding members, the annual fee will not be raised, however the rate for new licensees may change as the brand’s standing grows. That is a promise.
A partnership arrangement waiving the licence fee in exchange for shoots or services is also available (subject to review). Because this rests on trust between professionals, we impose no unreasonable lock-in. The details are set out in the agreement.
To you, cutting your own path.
Every path through yoga is walked differently. But the intent that carries it can be shared.
Names placed together, expression sharpened between us. However far apart, we are looking at the same Wellness.
Will you carry the name YOGINI STYLE?
You are not alone anymore.
